Her art is some of the best found in yaoi, with clean lines, rich detail and good proportions. The storyline is an exciting backdrop for Yamane's exquisite and realistic drawings. But, one of Asami's rivals also takes notice of Takaba and decides to use him against Asami. Asami is yakuza and he captures Takaba to teach him a lesson in pain, and pleasure. Takaba Akihito is a free-lance photographer who gets caught taking pictures of the wrong man - Asami Ryuichi. My only critique is that I wish it had a dust jacket like the Japanese editions do - I would have happily paid more. The book is about the same size as Be Beautiful's edition, but now includes a color plate at the front and whiter, better quality paper. Many scenes make more sense now, and the slang is more relevant. What I will say is that the small changes made are an improvement, in my opinion. I can't read Japanese, so I do not know how it compares. This edition features an updated translation. Plus, DMP did not merely reissue the previous English version. It went out of print some years ago due to licensing issues, but happily is now available again. Finder is the first yaoi manga I ever read, and immediately hooked me on the genre.
